REACH!
Retention and Empowerment of Asian/Asian American Disapora Considering Higher Education
Mission Statement
"Committed to the service, empowerment, and mobilization of immigrant, refugee, and underserved Asians and Asian Americans by promoting higher education to empower ourselves and challenge the economic and social inequalities facing our communities"

Our Story
REACH!, which stands for the Retention and Empowerment of Asian/Asian American Youths Considering Higher Education, was formed in 1994 under the Asian Student Union at UC Berkeley. Our goal here at REACH! is to target “Asian Pacific American”high school students, especially those who are underrepresented, low-income, and non-college tracked. We hope to promote higher education and empower students through building ethnic pride and programs that foster community activism and support Asian/Asian Americans youth culture. Here at REACH!, we create programs that raise political awareness, build coalitions, develop youth leaders, and build leadership in ourselves. Every year, our program is refined and innovated by (insanely) dedicated and intelligent coordinators, who look for a better way to continue serving the community. We leave a legacy here at REACH! of community leaders and innovators who have served and dedicated their time and commitment to bettering the lives of those within the underserved Asian community.
